So I watched Moulin Rouge last night. It was beyond my expectations I can say that. I remember my high school classmate forcing me to watch it last year, but I disagreed most of the time because I thought it would be really bad. Like, clowns, weird filming, weird comedy bad. Last night, when Star Movies decided to show the movie without my knowledge that that was it. One can imagine my surprise when that half line of gray flashed across the screen telling me what movie I was actually watching. I had a feeling it was it though. But man, I wish I had given it a chance a long time ago. It's a really really good dramatic movie. The romance, the conflict, the filming (oh, I just love how it was filmed!!), the actors and the music were just so awesome! It definitely was one of those movies I really enjoyed and would never really forget anytime soon.

Ewan McGregor sings really beautifully. I was really surprised when his voice came out of him. Really very good! His voice had a relaxing feel to it, no matter how strong it came out at some points in a song. I really love his singing here. If I find out this is something like HSM wherein they just mixed another person's voice with his own to make it sound better, I'd be really disappointed. As for Satine who was played by Nicole Kidman, I already expected that she could sing very well, so there was no surprise for me there.

So enough insights. Here's a short recap: set in 1899, the story is told from the point of view of one Christian (Ewan McGregor! :3) who is a young writer who came to Paris to follow the Bohemian revolution. What better place to start than the Moulin Rouge. There he meets Satine (Nicole Kidman! o.o <- didn't even recognize it was her) the star courtesan and the two fall in love. But it's not all happiness and romance as a very jealous duke (who might I say is very obsessive compulsive) also has his eyes on the beautiful Satine. And thus a love triangle is formed. As Christian and Satine continue to battle all odds in order to stay alive, another force they were not aware of is threatening to keep them apart forever.

Not the best summary I know. But look at that cast! (I'm aware I only mentioned the two main characters, but I just love their cast x3) And it's a musical! A very good musical at that. Who can resist a good musical? Hm? HM? Anyway, to those who've already watched it and loved it, good for every one of you. For those who haven't watched this yet, much less even heard of it, I recommend you to go and watch it. Download a torrent or whatever, it's worth the wait. Don't miss the OST as well. The songs are one of the highlights of the movie. Speaking of songs, here are my favorites on a playlist to share because I love them so~

So today was the first day of the 3rd term! Just think, next year I'm going to be in 2nd year college. Hmm it just seems like yesterday when I was sitting in that room alone without anyone I knew (well I had one ;3) and now we're all going to be separated. Aww. Oh well, the third term has it's quirks. For one, we have a writing class again! YAY! And I have to write a diagnostic essay due tomorrow, but I thought I'd practice by writing a post here on lj. But somehow it became a drabble instead. Lol. I haven't written in a while, so I don't know if it's any good really. :P

I'll be busy with my editing job and school from now on so, regarding my GA fansite, I shall update it right after I finish this chapter I'm doing. Then won't be able to again for..a long time. Sorry.. ^o^;

Editing is so hard. Damn it. The cropping, rotations and what not. But cloning is the hardest of them all. Oh and redrawing those stuff you can't really clone to make better! x.x; Now I understand the hardships editors must go through.

After one kind of boring chemistry lecture, I come with a mind boggling question...

How do you make lj layouts?

I tried googling it and found this tutorial, how to skin a livejournal or something. But as my mind is small and cannot comprehend simple instructions. I didn't suceed in making one. Lol. Anybody out there willing to teach? Or willing to direct me to a person or community who teaches? Lol. Thanks in advance! XD

Now I'm off to finish The Chronicles of Pearman (a product of mine from chemistry class). Ta-ta. :D

EDIT: I found a new jdrama to immerse my myself in! O: It's called Kurosagi and it has Yamapi in it! O: I don't know if popupmagic had it in her list of recommended jdramas (so I could check it off) but what the heck! :D *pokes download box, currently at 19%* Download faster!! XD

Ehem. Taking a break or not from my NewS addiction, heh. Anyway, YUI's greatest album yet! *in my opinion*. It has all her greatest songs! XD. I'm being a YUI fangirl again. Screw me!! XD




Enough of my YUI-fangirlism now. Time to move on to HYD II, in which Rui gets his heart broken, for the second time! Poor, poor Rui..T.T. If I were Makino I'd totally pick him over Tsukasa. *gets stoned* Anyway, that's about it. I have cram school again tomorrow. So yeah. XD.

Just got back from cram school...and I must say my brain is mush. XD. I mean a mock exam on the first day? What the heck yah? There were 4 subjects, English, Science, Math and Reading. English and Reading were okay.. Science too I guess. But Math...oh Math. I stared at the blackboard for a good five minutes (or longer) after our teacher wrote 90 minutes there. The test was so hard (or I'm just that stupid), that I finished with roughly 30 more minutes remaining. Good thing my handy cellphone had my newest addiction as its wallpaper. Yamapi and Shige's smiling pretty faces pulled me out of my misery..XD.

Anyway, most of our classmates there were from our school as well..so yeah not much new people. Lol.

Well then, I'm taking my nap or not. Ciao! :D

...Translation, I got my braces today (the upper part anyway). Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't hurt...YET Yes, doesn't the big all caps "yet" scare you? Yeah, me too o.o. Anyway, a really funny thing happened. Well you see my dentist wasn't feeling well really and complains she has this allergy, but she just shrugs it off and continues with me anyway.

The funny part was when we got to the pasting the weird thingies they put in your teeth, and so she was working, working and then when it was time to put in the final touches, (the wire and the rubber bands) all the thingies suddenly fall off! I know, le whut?! XD. Ehm, anyway, turns out, in her feverish state, she mistook flouride for the bonding agent (which explains why my teeth are weirdly pearly whiter than usual XD) and put that instead, so when she put in the paste, naturally it didn't hold. Lolz. So yeah, that was why all of 'em fell off. And she was about to sue the producer of the product too (the bonding agent that she thought didn't work). Lols... That was really funny. XD

Well, just relaying stuff that happened today. Hope my dentist doesn't mind me putting this here. Peace! :D.

I'm still in my la corda mode.. which probably won't end anytime soon. Speaking of La Corda, its ending soon! One more ep to go! Noooo!! *cries herself a river* What'll I do when La Corda finishes? What will I obssess on!? WHAT?! *gets shot*

Oh right, I heard MCR's having a new single soon (rumor or fact? hm o.o). Not the IDLY one (its already out XD)... I heard Teenagers? *swoons*

Woo... I post late these days..hehe. Blame Audition! Blame it! But don't hate it! I love it! XD. Ehem. Anyway, another reason why I wasn't able to post was well, my brother had to have his turn. :P

Anyway, on to the happenings. Yesterday was our last *regular* day at school (coz on monday we still have our finals XP) so our class decided to have a farewell party and ordered from McDo. When the food arrived, everyone pretty much had there share...except for a few who didn't get fries.. (kc tinangay nung iba..o.o). Ehm. The whol day consisted pretty much of free times and picture takings (which I seldom took part in.. I can't smile well in the camera). After classes (we were dismissed early), Me, Jeanette and Jieneb decided to take a short break and sat down on the bench outside the POA. And then.. we decided to reminisce. Ah.. I know I said I kind of didn't like my section in the beginning but now I've begun to appreciate it. I'm really gonna miss this seciton after all. Its fun to have classmates like them eventhough it sometimes gets out of hand. T-T. The thing I'm gonna miss most in the class are probably Jieneb, Jeanette, Lola and Eunice. Hahaha. We've all (strangely) gotten close throughout the year. *sniff* Its so sad that we probably won't be together in one section again next year (Jieneb most off all, since she's planning to transfer to PhySci). *sigh*.

Well after our reminisce-ing, it was time for club. And I tell you, all we actually did was take attendance, discuss our outing (Note: Outing date has been changed to the first week of April, Mrs. Miranda will contact us for more details :D) and then the cameras were taken out and we had a few pic takings here and there! XD. Lol. We weren't really all sad (there at the club) just scared because there might be a new moderator next year...No Mrs. Miranda! Don't leave ussss!! XD. I had fun helping to make the newspaper and actually making the magazine.. rushing deadlines and that sort. XD. Hohoho.

Well that's it for the late last day post. XD.
